Mehndi Ceremony



The art of applying henna in hands and feet with different styles is known as Mehndi. And it is a very old traditional culture and ancient art form of the Asian subcontinent. Mehndi ceremony takes an important part in the Indian big fat wedding. And not only the wedding in every function it plays an important role from a birthday party, half saree ceremony and soon it plays a vital role.




In India, weddings are celebrated as 3 days or 5 days big fat ceremony, At that time one-day mehndi ceremony is more auspicious with family and friends. It is usually held before pre-wedding.
The mehndi color also shows the bond of love and understanding between the bride and groom.
Gorintaku is also called as natural henna. Which directly pick up from the plant and added some remedies to it and to get good color and blended well. And after blended, it keeps on palm with different shapes.




The herb of it is very much advantageous for the growth of nails and health. The cooling effect present in the herbs helps us in relieving stress, headaches, and fever. Hence, Mehandi is applied to get rid of the bride and the groom of all the wedding stress. It even safeguards the couple doesn't effect viral diseases before the wedding.
Importance giving to this mehndi is used as a protection against the "evil eye."
The Mehndi ceremony is a colorful, and lively celebration and is often combined with ‘sangeet’ ceremony.


The traditional patterns of mehndi have become more and more intricate and decorative from time to time. There are now many styles of mehndi patterns, the most popular ones being the Arabic and Rajasthani mehndi designs. Mehendi is now even applied with ornaments, like crystals and sparkles and glitters.
